BAPTIST CHAPEL HAS ROYAL CONNECTIONS!
1887 was Queen Victoria’s
Golden Jubilee, in that year the Tin Tabernacle in Ashfield Road, which is now the home of Elmswell Baptist Church,
was opened. 2012 is our present Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the church will be
celebrating its’ 125th Anniversary. The following events have been planned:-
Open Day February 9th 10am to 10pm with refreshments all day including lunch from Midday to 2pm
Anniversary
Reunion Meal February 18th - if you have had connections with the
chapel in the past please let us know if you'd like to come ASAP. 7pm at the Blackbourne.
Special Anniversary Service February 19th at 10.30am led by Rev. Sheila Martin (Regional Minister for the Eastern Baptist Association.
John Hardwick Praise Party
May 12th - John Hardwick is booked! A zany, fun hour and a half.
All children over 4 and their parents are welcome. 10.30am to
Midday at the Blackbourne.
Christians in Sport Quiz Night
Sept 29th - Christians in Sport are booked! All you sports fans
and sport players make a note of the date now! This is an
interactive quiz with a huge screen and accompanying guizmos (have I
spelt that right?). 7pm at the Blackbourne. Book your place now!
Entertainment Evening
Nov 17th - Peter Holloway(comedian, magician and musician), Calvin
Goymer and the Bluntisham Barber Shop Quartet are booked so far. 7pm at the Blackbourne.
